Option 1: One-Day Intensive Guide Prep Course
Duration: 7 hours of focused, one-on-one training
Cost: $275 per person ($100 non-refundable deposit, $175 due at start)
What’s Included: Comprehensive preparation for the Maine Guide exam, covering background checks, First Aid/CPR, 100-hour requirements, catastrophic event protocols, map and compass skills, GPS, hunting, fishing, trapping, ATV/snowmobile and boating laws, wildlife identification, survival techniques, client relations, business planning, outdoor cooking, and Wilderness First Aid. Study materials provided.
Details: Bring a lunch, notebook, and compass (if available). Schedule based on availability.
Option 2: Comprehensive Guide Licensing Program
Duration: 21+ hours of personalized instruction, spread over weekly sessions until you earn your license (within 6 months).
Success Rate: 95% first-time pass rate on the state exam!
Cost:
$625 per person
$575 for ages 15–17 with a paying adult
$600 each for private groups of 2–3 students
$575 each for private groups of 4+ students

Basic Map and compass
course teaching Topo maps and the Maine Gazetteer and how to take and shoot bearings.
1 person $100 (2 hour)

Survival Courses
I offer a couple different types of Survival courses, depending on what you are looking to learn.
Class #1 Basic map and compass, GPS, fire starting, gear to pack for the trip, knot tying, equipment and gadgets 3-hour class
(Year round)
Class #2 We go out on my back 45 acers and build a shelter ID trees and plants, fire starting, Id tracks, Orientation with map and compass. 3-hour class. (Summer and Fall)
1 person $175 (3 hour)
2–3-person group $145 per person (3 hour)
4–6-person group $125 per person (4 hour)
Private Basic Mushroom Introduction and walk,
Personal or small group trips 3.5 hour course for 1 or up to 4 people for $200 and $45 each additional person, Max of 8 people. I can help work with your schedule to set your trip up and time.
We will explore some of the Edible and Medical Mushrooms of Maine. I will go over when and where to find them and the best informational books to look for. The different ways to grow mushrooms and store them and more. After classroom time, we will head out to the Forest to try to find them.

Moose Hunts $400 sight and shoot or $550 a day to help take care of the moose when its down or $1700 -2100 a week.
Small Game Hunts Grouse, Snowshoe Hare, are $350 a day.
